I was just going through some of my old wedding image archives and It's amazing how much photographic equipment has changed. Some of these images we're photographed on one of the first Nikon cameras I owned, the Nikon FA. This was the first camera I actually bought. I used my dad's old manual 50mm lens to capture weddings with. It's crazy, I actually photographed entire weddings back then with just a 50mm lens, but that's all I had so I had to make it work. These days you buy a camera for R 60 000 and 6 months later it's out of date. There's no doubt that 3D imaging is on it's way, it might even be next year with the rumoured release of the Nikon D4. These images we're captured between 2000 and 2008 with various Nikon cameras. The Nikon FA, F90x, F4s, D100, D2x. I'm now using the Nikon D3 and soon the D3s. You will notice in my images that I don't use a lot of photoshop. My photographic influences have come from older generation fashion photographers and I just love the raw way it was done back then. I like to use only traditional darkroom techniques of burning and dodging with contast. I'm not a huge fan of sepia tone these days but there are a few here in this post from weddings a couple of years back.
