My third portfolio entry is the wedding of Alan & Leana. I really liked the pictures, not just these images but the entire 1200 I photographed on their wedding day. Sometimes you just get weddings where everything works out perfectly and theirs was one of them.
The second portfolio I will be submitting are portraits of Michelle. I photographed her wedding in August and I really love these images.
Here are my 5 single entries for the 2010 Sony Profoto Awards, what a difficult task this was. Last year I was able to achieve one of only 2 gold awards in the wedding category and 7 in silver and bronze. I call it the 2010 awards as the winners are only announced early next year.
Roxy & Craig
No amount of images can portray this incredible wedding. Roxy and Craig's reception was held on Roxy's parents estate between Buitenverwachting and Klein Constantia in Cape Town. This wedding project was coordinated by the amazing Wedding Concepts team. Seriously I have no idea which images to post for Roxy and Craig's wedding, there are 1500 good images in total so here are some that caught my eye. I'll post some collages soon.

Nikki & Alistair
Just a quick overview collage of Nikki and Alistair's wedding.

Freedom Hill Winery
I photographed pictures yesterday for the Freedom Hill Winery & restaurant in Paarl. They are a stone throw away from the Pearl Valley Golf Estate. The restaurant is brand new and only been open for eight weeks. Adrian is the head chef and co owner and his food is nothing short of exceptional as you can see in the images below. It's still a new venue so if you have a tight budget for your wedding and you want exceptional food and unbelievable views of the Paarl valley then give Marguerite a call on 021 867 0963.

Nikki & Alistair
Nikki & Alistair married at the Methodist church in green market square and the reception was held at HQ in the Cape Town CBD. What amazing venues for wedding pictures. Here are a few of my favorites.

The Sepia Series
I don't often use sepia tone black and white, but for this years Profoto Awards I am going to submit a portfolio of sepia toned images. Here are a few I have selected so far.

Travel
I am traveling more these days than I ever have. Each one of these images represent the different flights I have taken recently. I have never really been a fan of flying but I do find these machines fascinating. I always fly with South African Airways locally and will always book on their bigger Airbus A340-600, A340-300, A340-200 or the Boeing 747-400 which they have just introduced daily on the Cape Town to Johannesburg route and back. Traveling with so much gear like battery chargers, cameras, lenses and the modern gadgets we all have today makes for a heavy load to carry onboard an aircraft.
If you are traveling with your wedding dress these bigger aircraft have special compartments in the first class cabin to accommodate these delicate items as we recently experienced and cabin crew were very willing to help out. It can be a harrowing experience traveling with a wedding dress so this will really help you out. I find that the bigger planes are a lot more comfortable and I can take more hand luggage aboard. Images taken with my Apple iphone.

Roxanne Floquet Cake Design
Roxanne Floquet specializes in bespoke cake design and I must say that it's the most amazing I have seen. My Wedding Day Magazine
I recently photographed the fashion spread for My Wedding Day Magazine. This is the second year I have photographed the fashion for the magazine and here are some of my choices of the best images. Shot on location at the House Of Angels in Bloubergstrand.

Candice & Morgan
The second of my 2 Johannesburg weddings was for Candice and Morgan. Morgan is a cinematographer and in the film business. One of his groomsmen is Greg Dale who I started and learnt the art of photography with some 12 years ago. Kloofzicht was the setting for a crowd of artists. My video team covered the videography.

Marinela & Nicholas
Just some extra images from Marinela and Nicholas's wedding. On second look through their images I found these nice ones.
